Mixing with reference tracks is the practice of comparing your mix to a commercially produced recording along the way. If you aren't already mixing with reference tracks, you should be.

One of LANDR's mastering engine's coolest features is the ability to upload and match a mastered reference track. The differences are sometimes subtle, but noticeable. When testing the product, I tried every combination of these styles. This feature allows the user to streamline the mastering engine's process and introduces a human element into the process. These range from warm, balanced and open styles, to low, medium and high intensities.

Like other software that relies on machine learning, LANDR provides a selection of user-selected mastering 'styles' (EQ and compression profile) and intensity (volume, maximization, gain reduction).

LANDR's engine first analyzes your track, then matches it against a massive database of other mastered recordings organized by genre, to understand how to best process your track based on its findings. Their platform uses advanced AI and machine learning to master your tracks like a mastering engineer would, tailoring each track's process instead of applying generalized processing across the board. LANDR has been a driving force in the democratization of mastering over the course of the last decade. LANDR's oldest and most fully developed offering is LANDR Mastering. Surprise, surprise, the real-world MPG is exactly the same as the older model. My understanding is that the lighter grade was only used in the UK. I accept that its a big heavy beast.īut the following year, Toyota changed the diff oils for a lighter grade, and it sliped down a tax band, seeming to use a little less fuel (31.4 mpg instead of 30.4). The Landcruiser I drive is in the second-to-top tax band.

Landr Rover Discovery Sport 2.0 TD4 Manual HSE Lux - New Discovery Sport Fuel Economy - NARU If I could get anywhere near that from my saloon car I'd be grinning like the proverbial Cheshire cat. Personally I can't believe you're unhappy with nearly 40mpg from such a vehicle. SO if those results differ from real world then that is the fault of the law, not the OEM.Īs an aside though, I know several people with new Disco Sports and they are all very happy with the economy compared to previos similar vehicles. The only fuel economy results they are allowed to quote (by law) are the results of the lab test You've clearly missed an important point which you would have understood if you'd read up on the subject:Īll OEMs are required by law to conduct their tests in a lab

Thanks any way for the well intentioned and meaningfull responses I have had so far!! Obviously I never expected to achieve this but my frustration is the difference between the published figures and the real world. I obviously was not clear my disappointment was driven by Landrover claiming MPG figures of between 45 to 60 MPG based on the new "super efficient engine design" and "lightweight aluminium construction". Wow, pretty brutal responses in reality I am actually not that surprised at the real world fuel economy in reality.
